GC Tool

GC Tool is a porcelain set composed of a small coffee pot, its lid, and a cup. Developed in close collaboration with Nespresso’s sensory teams, it was designed specifically for the Green Coffee Sensory Cupping Experience within the company’s evaluation laboratories.
During sensory tasting sessions, every detail matters. Quantity, temperature, flavor, and aroma are assessed with great precision. Each element of the set has been carefully designed to support this demanding ritual.
The wide lid retains and concentrates aromas before olfactory evaluation. The open handle enables a quick and natural pouring gesture, while the refined spout ensures precision and minimizes dripping.
An embossed line on the coffee pot indicates the optimal filling level and provides a dedicated area for sample identification. The cup’s wide opening enhances tasting while allowing efficient stacking for storage.
A subtle texture on the lid and cup improves grip and brings visual and tactile refinement to a tool designed for intensive daily use.
